Taryn Brandes of Charter Realty’s urban advisory team has secured a 7,421 SF lease for Yardbird Southern Table & Bar in Dallas, representing Yardbird’s entry into Texas. Yardbird will be joining Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in the Park District building, located at the heart of Downtown Dallas, the Arts District, and Uptown. This mixed-use development consists of more than 900,000 SF of office space, restaurants and residences, and is located next to Klyde Warren Park. Charter’s newly formed urban team has been retained as the national real estate adviser & master broker to Yardbird, along with the other brands operated under the 50 Eggs Hospitality Group platform. Cal Marsh with Falcon Realty Advisors worked with Charter and represented Yardbird locally, while CBRE’s Nathan Wood and Sydney Muller represented the Landlord Trammell Crow Company.
Yardbird is a James Beard nominated restaurant specializing in farm-fresh ingredients and classic Southern cooking, with locations in Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Singapore. The first restaurant was opened in Miami in 2011 by 50 Eggs, Inc., founded by chef and restauranteur John Kunkel. Kunkel and the 50 Eggs team also own and operate the casual Spring Chicken concept, as well as Latin-inspired Chica and modern American AD LIB concepts.
Yardbird is expected to open in Dallas in early 2020.
